Welcome to Snap Click Shoot!  SCS is the new name for the classes given by Farrah Braniff of Farrah Braniff Photographs.  Come join in the fun!

Looking for a fun way to practice your photography skills? Join us as we walk through downtown Houston, socializing, shooting and learning!  We'll be photographing all along the way but we will make 4 specific stops to work on different techniques.

We will be covering the use of shutter speed to freeze and blur motion.  We will also experiment with f-stop to create blurry or in focus backgrounds and foregrounds. You will be encouraged to utilize the abundance of interesting lines, angles and architecture to create interesting compositions.  We will discuss the use of leading lines and rule of thirds in composition.

We will meet at The Flying Saucer in downtown Houston at 2 pm.  Our loop will include the theater district and Discovery Green before returning back to The Flying Saucer to celebrate with dinner and a pint!  When you register, please let us know if you will be staying for dinner.  The Flying Saucer is setting up tables for us in a special area and will need to know how many.

Specifics to note:

-The Flying Saucer is located at 705 Main St. Houston, TX 77002.

-Dinner and a pint are optional (but of course you will want to right?).  Whatever you order at The Flying Saucer will be on your own tab (unless, of course, you want to also buy my pint).

-There is a large parking lot next to the Flying Saucer where you can pay and park.  You may also look for street parking if you prefer.  The Flying Saucer doesn't validate or have any free parking.

-We will be walking for a few hours so please wear comfy shoes.

-If the weather is really bad (i.e. crazy cold or hard rain), the rain date will be May 2, 2010.  If the weather is terrible on that day too, we will postpone to another Saturday in May.
